About this program: This drawing and acrylic painting program is directed towards seniors who have always wanted to study art but never had the opportunity.

We follow an art studio format in that you join a like minded group that act as teaching and learning resources to each other. General guidance is provided but you are expected to play the proactive role of a university student rather than the passive learning role of a secondary school student.

You decide when to join and when to leave. If you find yourself short of time and want to remain a member of the group and participate when possible then that's ok or you may decide to rejoin at a later date.

No previous drawing or painting experience is required for membership as both beginning and advanced students work together. As a proactive member of the group you progress at your own rate working on group projects as well as self directed projects.

The first and only thing to learn about art is that success has more to do with concentration and hard work than talent.

There are three, ten week group sessions per year.
