This poem asks questions about God that as a child I was taught not to ask. It was inspired by an event of which I have first hand knowledge.

.
 I was taught

as a little boy
I was taught
that - I should never ask
why or where
when or how
...
I must just accept
that - God loved me
that - I must love God or go to hell
that - I must fear God or go to hell
that - if I didn't love God I would go to hell
that - I must love God's priests or go to hell
that - I must obey God's priests or go to hell
that - the priests talk to God
that - God talks through his priests
that - I was born a sinner
that - sex without God's priestly approval is evil
and fornicators would go to hell
that - masturbators are evil
and would go to hell
that - homosexuals are evil
and would go to hell
that - I must hate the devil
or go to hell
that - there is only one true God
the catholic God
...
I cannot ask why
God won't stop
his priest from touching me
...
I told my mother
about God's priest touching me
my mom - stopped talking to me
my mom - stopped loving me
my mom - pushed me away
...
I told my father
about God's priest touching me
my dad - stopped talking to me
my dad - stopped loving me
my dad - pushed me away
...
AhhhgggrrrrrhhhhaaaaAAA
